Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Describe key environmental, social, and governance issues;
2. Familiarise with the current sustainability landscape in Singapore;
3. Understand the impact of international agreements on sustainability on businesses;
4. Understand the impact of sustainability reporting on businesses and employees; and
5. Introduction to sustainable finance and instruments.

Course Description

Sustainability is as big an opportunity as it is a threat. In the current business environment, investors are looking at ESG factors as part of their investment decisions and increasingly, financial institutions are making ESG disclosures in their annual report or sustainability report. Through this course, we hope to equip you with an overview of ESG concepts such as the 17 Sustainability Development Goals and how regulations as well as industry norms shaped sustainable finance. In addition, there will be sharing with case studies on how organisations direct their resources to nurture an ESG culture towards making the World a better place.
