Course Objectives

This certification programme will provide the participants with a solid grounding in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Building Information Modelling (BIM) using Autodesk’s Revit. This programme will encompass the basics of all Building Mechanical and Electrical Systems and BIM’s functionality.

Course Description

A. Introduction to BIM
- Understanding Revit Interface, commands.
- Creating grids/levels.
- Starting Project

B. Basic drawing/modifying tools
- Drawings tools
- Modifying tools
- Navigation, browsers, properties. Elevation views

C. Air-conditioning Systems
- Add simple air-conditioning equipment, ductworks and pipe

D. Fire protection Systems
- Add fire fixtures, equipment and piping

E. Plumbing Systems
- Add plumbing fixtures and piping

F. Electrical Systems
- Add electrical equipment, cable tray, creating circuits, panel schedules and electrical layout

G. Hot and Cold Water Supply
- Add hot and cold water supply fixtures and piping

H. Sheets
- Setting up sheets
- Tag & Schedule

I. BCA MEP Template
- Architectural Model Validation
- Linking Revit and CAD Model
- Setting levels
- Understand visibility graphics

J. Starting & Completing a MEP project
- Working with views and callout
