Course Information

In this 16-hour short course adopting a blended learning model over 2 days,  learners will appreciate the importance of working with stakeholders of students (such as Parents, Caregivers, Teachers, Relatives etc) in supporting the development of students in the student setting context. The significant roles of these stakeholders, their impact on the students and the benefits of working with stakeholders will be examined. Learners will also learn to apply communication techniques and strategies in working with the stakeholders so that they can better support the students under their care. 

This is one of the four short courses that can be taken separately by learners and stacked towards the Certificate in Student Management.

Who should attend?

Student Care coachers. Professionals who are working with students aged 7-14 years old.

Learning Outcomes

The course aims to prepare students to demonstrate:
At the end of the training, the course would equip participants with the following learning outcomes:
• Demonstrate understanding of the important roles played by the stakeholders and their impact on the students’ development
• Demonstrate understanding of the benefits of working with stakeholders
• Demonstrate the competency of application of communication techniques and strategies in working with stakeholders in supporting the development of students under their care

Schedule

Course Date: TBC
Class Day: 2 full day sessions per week (Day 1 is Remote, Day 2 is a face-to-face lesson on campus)
Application Period: TBC
Duration: 2 days
Time: 9am to 6pm (including 1-hour lunch break)(Weekday)
Delivery Mode: Lessons will comprise lectures and practical with a mixture of online learning and face-to-face on-campus mode.

– Practical Assessment

Certification

A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass the assessment.


Participants will further obtain a Certificate in Student Management upon completion of all 4 courses in the program.

Funding period for this course is from 11 Aug 2022 to 30 Sep 2024.

Long Term Visit Pass Plus (LTVP+) holders, please furnish the following documents to the course administrator to qualify for SSG funding:
Self-sponsored learner (**LTVP+): Copy of your green visit pass card, with the word ‘PLUS’ on the back of the card.
Co-sponsored learner (##LTVP+): Copy of valid and current Letter of Consent (LOC) from MOM

GST Increment in 2024
Please note that the GST rate will be revised to 9% with effect from 1 Jan 2024, as such any payable course fees will be subjected to the new GST rate adjustments in 2024.
