Course Information
This course will let the participants have a better understanding of the vehicle, equip them with knowledge on current automotive systems, including their functions, operations, advantages and disadvantages, maintenance, common problems and the causes of the problems.
The course will focus on the engine, transmission, traction control, suspension, steering, air-con and other current automotive technologies; emphasize the areas for reducing the vehicle maintenance cost and fuel consumption, prolonging the vehicle lifespan.
Learning Outcomes
Our course equips the participants with automotive knowledge, and helps the participants in:
- enhancing the knowledge of safety driving and minimizing the vehicle’s accident;
- improving the fuel efficiency and prolonging the vehicle lifespan;
- reducing the vehicle total maintenance cost,
- analyzing effectively the vehicle problem and the possible causes of the problem;
- communicating well to the car workshop technicians about the vehicle problems;
- understanding HEV and EV as technologies that offer solutions in sustainable/clean energy and urban mobility;
- knowing about the common problems for 5 years and above private-hire cars, and how these problems affect the vehicle safety and fuel efficiency.

Lesson Plan
This session will cover the common problems found on vehicles and key points in maintaining vehicles to ensure vehicle safety, fuel efficiency and the comfort of the passengers.
This interactive session will provide opportunities to discuss the various systems on the vehicles with the training model.
Certification
A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement but did not pass all required assessment(s).
