Course Information
This course aims to equip learners with an understanding of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions which can be used to automate tasks, enhance decision-making processes, and drive innovation across various industries.
Learners will be able to recommend and build ML/AI solutions with available No/Low-code tools to learn from data, identify patterns, and make intelligent business decisions.
Only working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is needed. No prior programming knowledge is required.
This course shares the common Post-Diploma Cert (PDC) in Visualisation and Analytics with the Specialist Diploma in Business Digitalisation (Intelligent Automation) (SDBD(IA)) Click <here> for more information.
Learning Outcomes
This course is designed for mid-level executives and frontend data users seeking to enhance data visualisation skills for businesses to develop interactive management dashboards for decision-making, organise data from disparate sources using popular tools like Tableau, Power BI, MySQL and Python, and optimise business processes with predictive models and AI solutions with minimal programming.

Lesson Plan
The certificate provides students with the specialised knowledge and skills in the area of visual analytics, data management, data wrangling and munging as well as database concepts to aid management in optimised decisions making.
- Business Insights
This module aims to equip students with fundamental concepts of Data Visualisation for Business to develop interactive management dashboards for decision making. This involves applying best dashboard design principles, data story-telling techniques as well as insight gathering techniques. Students will learn how to organise data, perform data preparation, develop interactive dashboards, design data story-telling reports and automate repetitive tasks.
- Information Organisation
This module is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of database concepts and management. Students will also gain technical proficiency such as SQL, Python and data warehouse basics, empowering them in data querying, preparation, processing and manipulation. Moreover, students will gain valuable insights into data project lifecycles, equipping them with the essential skills to execute and implement their own data projects.
The certificate provides students with the specialised knowledge and skills to build ML/ AI solutions with available No/Low-code tools to learn from data, identify patterns, and make intelligent decisions.
- Predictive Analytics
This module prepares learners to build Supervised or Unsupervised machine learning models through the use of No/Low-code tools to solve classification or regression problems. Basic Statistics will also be covered to equip learners with the ability to interpret models’ results and evaluation of performance. This will aid management in making critical business decisions to improve business performance.
- AI Applications
This module will equip learners Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and current practices in the industry. It also explores how AI is currently used across various industries to achieve productivity improvements and the transformation of the businesses through innovative applications of AI. Web-based and Low-code tools that makes creating AI models fast, easy, and accessible to everyone will be used. The ethical, legal and social implications of the use of AI in business will be examined.
