Course Information
Financial institutions must comply with a multitude of regulatory requirements and meet a plethora of regulatory obligations. To cope with the management, execution and oversight of all these obligations, financial institutions increasingly utilise regulatory technology, so-called “RegTech”.
In this course, you obtain an overview of the obligations different financial institutions must meet and explore RegTech solutions that are applied to facilitate specific tasks and how they can interact to facilitate processes, enhance outcomes and monitor the status of compliance. In addition, we examine what requirements RegTech solutions should meet and how you can evaluate them.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
– Learn about the different licences required to provide financial services.
– Be aware of the regulatory framework for Financial Technologies in Singapore and the concept of cross-border compliance.
– Learn about how financial institutions leverage RegTech solutions to facilitate due diligence.
– Explore different tasks where RegTech solutions are employed and how they can be connected to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and lead to better outcomes for the financial institution.
– Examine the requirements RegTech solutions must meet for their use by financial institutions and how to evaluate them

Trainer's Profile
Rolf Haudenschild is the co-founder of Ingenia Consultants Pte. Ltd. where he is supporting small and medium-sized financial institutions in their compliance and executes internal audits, providing practical, client-focused advice since 2012. Prior to starting his own consultancy, Rolf initially worked as a lawyer in corporate governance for a leading international banking group before joining the financial regulator on the enforcement and drafting of policies.
Rolf is a recognized expert in compliance in wealth management, namely for external asset managers. He constantly remains at the forefront of developments working with several fintech companies, including virtual asset service providers, and exploring regtech.
Wai Mun is a Senior Lecturer at Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP), School of Business & Accountancy where he specialises in teaching financial risk, compliance, statistics and mathematics. Apart from teaching, he is also active in curating learning content and publishing article for professionals in the finance sector with clients from banks and professional bodies. Prior to joining NP, he worked in Operational Risk function of a leading global investment bank.
He is a strong advocate of lifelong learning through workplace learning and has contributed to the development of the skills framework for financial services. He has also presented on public forums on topics ranging from risk management, compliance, FinTech and lifelong learning.
Certification
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to learner who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass all required assessment(s).
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to learner who meet the 75% attendance requirement.
