It has been said that creativity is at the core of advertising, and tools such as Adobe Photoshop help to bring to life these creative concepts. In any creative proposal, the visual representation of your creative idea is just as important as the idea itself!

Acquiring skills in Adobe Photoshop means you have at your fingertips the means to create visuals that are both memorable and significant in the minds of your audiences.

Learning Outcomes

Develop all the skills you need in Adobe Photoshop including line work, and discover how to create a storyboard, as well as use colour, light and shadow for your creatives.

Time: 9am to 6pm

Lesson Plan

This course consists of 2 modules:

A. Getting started in Adobe Photoshop
  • Translation of concept into thumbnail drawings
  • Using photographs for storyboarding
  • Creating line work
B. Finalising the creative concept
  • Adding colour, lighting and shadows
  • Fine-tuning the artwork and making final adjustments

Trainer's Profile

Graham Lamb
Graham started his career in graphic design for magazine publication and pivoted into visual effects, focusing on 2D and 3D CG creation. With a deadline-driven background and wide-ranging creative skillset, Graham has a unique perspective on how to tackle a creative concept to work efficiently while providing a high-quality end product.


Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement.

No prior knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is required.

Applicants with any of the following qualifications are invited to apply for the course:

Applicants with marketing, advertising background, digital content creators, studios creatives and students are welcome to apply

Course Fees

Course fee is payable upon acceptance. It is inclusive of 7% GST and subject to review.

The course is eligible for SkillsFuture Credit.
