Course Information

It can be upsetting for any dog owner to see their pet fearful, stressed or anxious, for whatever reason. Be the rock your dog can trust by equipping yourself with effective and positive methods to manage and calm your dog in different stressful situations.

Also, this course will help you to develop a sound understanding of canine body language, so you can decipher exactly what your dog is trying to communicate.

Learning Outcomes

You will develop the skills to understanding the canine body language and your dog’s eye-view of distressing situations, and apply positive methods to bring calm to your furry kid.

Trainer's Profile

Angie Tan

Angie Tan, CPDT-KA, is a U.S. Certified, AVS Accredited and Project Adore dog trainer. She founded Puppylove, Singapore’s first dog-friendly training school, in 2001. She is also a dog bite safety educator, a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog KTrainers (APDT) and a Canine First Responder. Angie supports the use of LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) methods when working with animals.


Certification

This course will be delivered in English and has no assessment.





A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to learner who meet the 75% attendance requirement.









Course Fees

National Silver Academy NSA Funding
Singaporeans aged 50 years and above who wish to apply for the course at the special course fee will need to email a copy of their NRIC during the course fee payment before the course commencement. Eligible for funding by National Silver Academy NSA Funding period for this course is from 1 Apr 2024 to 31 Mar 2025.

SkillsFuture Credit
All Singaporeans aged 25 and above can use their $500 SkillsFuture Credit from the government to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses. Visit the SkillsFuture Credit website to choose from the courses available on the Training Exchange course directory.

GST Increment in 2024
