Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to:•apply critical thinking and clinical reasoning to identify problems and develop care plans;
•assess health education needs and conduct focused patient/ family education;
•apply evidence-based practice to improve the standard of care provided to surgical patients; and
•demonstrate confidence in their clinical abilities and have a strong commitment to quality patient care and continuing education.
Course Description
The Advanced Diploma in Perioperative Nursing (ADPO2) is a part-time CET course, consist of the following modules:1)Health Assessment and Clinical Decision Making (45hrs)
2)Applied Pathophysiology and Pharmacology (60hrs)
3)Evidence-Based Practice (45hrs)
4)Fundamentals in Perioperative Nursing I (60hrs)
5)Fundamentals in Perioperative Nursing II (60hrs)
6)Advanced Perioperative Nursing Science I (60hrs)
7)Advanced Perioperative Nursing Science II (60hrs)
8)Advanced Clinical Practicum in Perioperative Nursing (400hrs)
