Glen Ng Wei Cher

Dr Glen Ng has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Canberra, a Master in Counselling from Monash University, a Diploma in Clinical Supervision (Counselling) from Counselling and Care Centre and a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis from London College of Clinical Hypnosis and Tan Tock Seng Hospital as well as a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP).

Dr Glen has over 25 years of experiences in youth counselling, mentoring and working with youths with special needs.
While working as a Senior Probation Officer and subsequently a Volunteer Probation Officer with the Ministry of Social & Family Development (MSF), Dr Glen has managed more than 100 cases of youth offenders from minor (underage smoking) to major offences (rioting). He was also the Senior Counsellor at Rotary Family Service Centre where he had supervised counsellors, caseworkers and worked with clients to develop programmes for the young and the elderly.

Dr Glen also held several executive positions, first as the Vice-President (Executive Committee) for the Singapore Association for the Deaf, and subsequently founding member and General Manager for Dialogue in the Dark Singapore, where he had facilitated leadership workshops for more than 60 corporate clients, including participants from HSBC Bank, PSA Singapore and INSEAD Business School. He is presently also an EXCO member with the Youth Work Association Singapore (YWAS).

As an educator, Dr Glen helmed the retired “Diploma in Psychology Studies” at the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where he led a team of counsellors, psychologists, and researchers and also taught in key modules, which include “Introduction to Social Services”, “Fundamentals of Counselling”, “Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship”, and “Community Psychology”. As the Course Chair of the diploma, Dr Glen has mentored more than 200 students aged 17-19 years old, where he advised them on a range of common youth issues.
