About Course
Course Objectives
This course is to train learners to assist in the provision of a safe, challenging, positive and developmentally appropriate physical environment for the learning and development of 7 to 14 years old students. The focus is on the holistic development of this age group of students and learners are taught to assist in the identification of strengths and areas of development requiring attention. Learners will create a supportive human environment and assist in the implementation of programmes that promote students’ physical, social-emotional and language development. Awareness of and responding to illness, accidents and emergencies will also be included.Course Description

7. Identify responsibilities under Workplace Safety and Health Act (ESS Workplace Skills Series: Workplace Safety and Health, Element 8.1.1)
8. Assist with infection control and infection prevention
9. Respond to signs of illness and accidents 10.Respond to incidents and emergencies
