In addition, he has a diploma in Electrical Engineering from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, specialising in clean energy. During his academic journey, Benjamin successfully completed two final year projects involving the design of dynamic wireless chargers for electric vehicles using Ansoft Maxwell for simulation and hardware construction.
Benjamin’s academic background has equipped him with the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to excel in the field of electrical engineering. He have a strong understanding of electrical installation & systems, circuit analysis, power electronics and renewable energy sources.
Benjamin started his career in at ST Engineering Electronics, he led teams in testing and commissioning communication systems for railway projects, specifically the TeTRA radio system. Working both locally and overseas, Benjamin collaborated with various railway stakeholders, such as BTS and BEM in Thailand and SMRT and LTA in Singapore. Following his time at ST Engineering Electronics, Benjamin worked as a Senior Engineer in an electrical contractor, Bintai Kindenko. During his time in Bintai Kindenko, he worked on a few electrical projects on the provision of electrical services. Now at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Benjamin teaches the students from the Diploma of Electrical Engineering, where he teaches Electrical Installation Design, Electrical Fundamentals, Power Electronics and manage internships programmes.
Benjamin also teaches the National EV Specialist Safety programme, focusing on EV charging infrastructure’s electrical safety and provisions.
